see, i knew laure took photos, i mean, she's the one that kodaks our parties, brunches, graduations etc, parents have asked her to frame some souvenir pics ETC but then i checked out this right here, i still can't get over how lovely it is.  Laure has a special eye, she captures fuzz, warmth, she puts whole atmospheres on shiny paper.  I am impressed.

i am catsitting this week, and I had to put Ignacio and Paola ( the birds) high up so that nature won't have its way. Still the cat spends days gazing at my little chicken.

first sunday of the month

It felt so good being inside the Centre George Pompidou when looking out the glass façade and seeing the rain pouring and that line! Thanks to my yearly pass i skipped right to the very front. In Paris every first Sunday of the month all museums are free, and even though it makes going to the museum a real competition and complete hassle, i have to admit i'm proud of my fellow parisians when i see them queuing for hours to suck up a bit of culture.

June Carter was 3 years older than Johnny Cash and had divorced twice before knowing him. They met in 1956 because they both signed with the same record company. They fell in love slowly and got married in 1968. They performed together and were never seen apart... Jonnhy died a few months after June. They were partners...that's what I want, a partner.

Opera Garnier

I went to l'Opera Garnier this season. I went to see a contemporary ballet, Amoveo; and I thought: " I would like to go to the Opera as casually as I go to the movies... oh! i could make it my resolution for 2010!"

Resolutions are supposed to make one a better person, and I think live performances in beautiful places can contribute to one's balance and attitude.

Pieter Hugo

So I said I have a photography itch. The next step is setting up my codes, feeling affiliated to photographers.... Pieter Hugo is in my top 10. The 9 others will show up in other posts.

His photos make me happy and nauseated at the same time, which actually feels great!

unfinished

i should write down all the projects i start and never finish. I could open a museum of unfinished this and thats. This photo would be in it.

an itch

I have an urge to do some photography. Those who have heard me vomiting on photography for a decade will laugh. Let them laugh. My mother always says,only idiots never change their minds.

I want a big white studio, a large amount of fabric, a few models, a good makeup palette... and oh yeah a few cameras.
