When Louis XV met Jeanne Bécu, he was 58 and she was 25. She sold silk and lace in a fashionable shop in Paris and he was the king of France. They fell madly in love/lust and stayed together until the king died. Jeanne could not be introduced to the court without a title, so the king arranged for her to marry le comte du Barry. Louis XV was known for his sexual appetite, and their sexual adventures made the whole population o Versailles blush.
