lightweight

Slybox by Keiji Ashizawa. I love the light metallic structure and the little wheels.

On the very top of the Cité Chaillot, facing the Eiffel Tower, there is an apartment that the architect of this massive monument kept for himself. Now it's the ELLE Déco suite, and it is decorated by famous fashion designers, one at a time. Right now the suite is 'dressed' by Jean Paul Gautier ... couldn't you have guessed?

google mail

This is a great idea. It came straight out of the brain of 2 students at the Industrial Design section of the Syracuse University. Basically you have on your envelope the google map location of the person who sent and will receive the letter. It's experimental at the moment.

wrapped up

Have you ever had problems fitting an object in S,M ou L boxes you get at the post office? That's over! soon we'll have access to these UPS cardboard sheets designed by Patrick Sung.

A+

The Flexiblelove chair by Chishen Shiu seems a bit unreal. It's made out of 100% recycled materials (paper) , it can open up to fit 8 people and when it's closed it can be stored under a bed... oh wait, and i can buy it for 199 euros: disturbingly accessible and smart.

shadow poem

The one day poem pavillion is Jiyeon Song's diploma project. This piece is a reflexion on time, light and shadow, the pace of media communication today.... The simple structure waits for the sun to caress it to reveal different poems depending on the season and the intricate work of perforation allows the visitor to grasp a few words or a full poem, making each incounter personal and dependent on nature rythm

milk

Swiss Milk packaging by Arantxa Reus. I love the idea that international swiss style actually invades everything in the country, that typography is limited to Helvetica, that everything is rational and basic, easy to grasp and to understand...ok, it's a bit scary, but a nice scary, a Tim Burton kind of scary.

OBJECTS

This is what the Milan Design fair felt like to me... not just objects, situations, settings, weather changes.

soft light

I am absolutly obsessed with porcelain, especially when it's in unusual forms. Laura Pregger's work around this delicate material makes me sigh....

zoom

How hot will your i-phone look with this telephoto lens? It really speaks to the techno geek in me.
