manipulating

Julius von Bismarck was born in Germany and spent his youth in Saudi-Arabia and Germany. A part of his work is about creating machines he then works with. here you have it, the image-fulgurator. It looks like a camera, but it's something like a sniper rifle that he uses to manipulate pictures of other photographers while they're taking their own photos by adding curious details. His work is a reflexion about the use of media, etc etc but I like the results as they are. they remind me of high school times spent modifying pictures with the school photocopier..

today i want to be

Norma Kamali. This woman is so so productive. She does so many things with her brain and her hands. Her website is overwhelming. These are the pieces I would wear, but i'm also impressed by the re-used parachutes to make clothes ou can wear for 10 days....

b-fast

Breakfast is one of my favorite things in the world. I could have breakfast food day long, start the day ( or at least pretend to) all the time. I don't know what it is about this meal, but I just feel like it gives infinite possibilities and that it is endlessly flexible when it comes to size, length, mood, aspect....
This is what i had this morning:
yogurt with bananas almonds and mint leaves + apricot bread with cream cheese + kiwi + rooibos tea. I can't wait till tomorrow morning....

no limits

no limits to imagination when it comes to ink. I m drawing the tattoo i would want if i wanted one...
I like to think that tattoo spotting has replaced bird watching. Isn't delighful to see the beginning of an intricate ink job running up a sleeve, half covered by long hair, coming out of a low cut top? And isn't it intertaining to look up 'stupid' tattoos, to laugh at crazy doodles people carved in their skin forever? I m always checking what's new on the sang bleu blog; that's where i found this lovely image.

How hot will your i-phone look with this telephoto lens? It really speaks to the techno geek in me.

power power

you can now charge your i-phone even in the middle of the desert or in the black forest with this portable individual solar pannel. It costs 100 bucks, it's portable, and soon it will be part of every good camping kit. Google Powerfilm rollable solar charger to buy it.

I am doing my end of studies project on the rooftops of Paris. I drew these to illustrate some intentions about the upcoming project. More to come.

is this good design or what?

This is just what design should be, simple ingenious useful beautiful. I wish I had done this. Bravo Mark A. Reigelman. I won't get over it for a while. You'll find them on the steps of the Brooklyn Borough Townhall. They integrate in the landscape and the daily life of people around. We need some of those in crusty old Paris. Mark, if you hear me...
