The Flexiblelove chair by Chishen Shiu seems a bit unreal. It's made out of 100% recycled materials (paper) , it can open up to fit 8 people and when it's closed it can be stored under a bed... oh wait, and i can buy it for 199 euros: disturbingly accessible and smart.

The one day poem pavillion is Jiyeon Song's diploma project. This piece is a reflexion on time, light and shadow, the pace of media communication today.... The simple structure waits for the sun to caress it to reveal different poems depending on the season and the intricate work of perforation allows the visitor to grasp a few words or a full poem, making each incounter personal and dependent on nature rythm

Swiss Milk packaging by Arantxa Reus. I love the idea that international swiss style actually invades everything in the country, that typography is limited to Helvetica, that everything is rational and basic, easy to grasp and to understand...ok, it's a bit scary, but a nice scary, a Tim Burton kind of scary.

easter meal

Today was easter, and for some strange reason, my non-christian family celebrates it like it's 1999.

Today we went to the very prestigious Café de la Paix (next to the Opéra Garnier) for the easter brunch. Oh my! what an orgy it was! the Champagne rosé millésimé, the 5 differents areas of thematic buffets, the incredible sea food, the fine mousses, the perfect fresh cocktails, the amazing meats and warm dishes, the tomato soup, the breads, the cheeses, the risottos made on the spot for you... and then the dessert buffet! 2 huge tables with and endless quantity of macarons, operas, foret noire, kougloff, tartelettes, entremets.... it would have broken my heart to neglect any of this beauty, so i ate everything...a 7000 calorie meal! the waiter actually made a comment about the quantity of food i put in my belly. What can i say? i am a defender of gatronomic diversity.

PS: i put a few sweets in napkins then in my purse for my homegirls, i know it's not classy, but i felt terribly selfish eating limited edition haute patisserie creations without them.
